3 x 3 Note Cards with Tile Holder

Try a New Technique #171

I finally finished making the whole Enchilada-

6- 3x3 Note Cards, 6 Envelopes and a Tile Coaster Holder instead of a box to hold them together. The tile can also be used as a coaster. This was really fun to make. I used the Fresh Cuts set in River Rock Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla colors.

The topper is a magnet using the same design for the cards, added the River Rock and Chocolate Chip cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by.

I made 3 Thank You and 3 For You cards.

The center of the flower is a punched circle

using the 1/4 circle punch, and using my

Chocolate Chip marker, I did the dots all around.

The Tile Coaster is stamped in Basic Brown. I colored the flowers with River Rock using the Blender pen.

RECIPE:

Stamps: Fresh Cuts

Paper: Very Vanilla, River Rock

Ink: Choclate Chip, River Rock, Basic Brown

Accessories: DS ribbon, eyelet

Tools: circle punches, glue dots

From This To This ( A second look at ATC)

Artist Trading Card

I love making trading cards. They are
fun and easy to make. It only takes 1- 81/2 x 11
cardstock to make 10 trading cards.
Here is the template on how to cut 10- 2 1/2 x 31/2 .

On our monthly group, we make
and swap 10 trading cards.
Here is the ATC that I did.

Here is the finished card using the same ATC.You can make a simple card or you can make
it into a WOW card. Whatever you do,
have fun with it. Design it with a sketch in mind,
with a DSP, embellish it, or make a giftable project.

I will start doing this every month on my blog. Play along by showing me the ATC and the finished card. Make sure you include the link.

I have a couple of projects that I will be posting and hopefully I can get around to it.

If not, you will see them when I get back.

Apron

Limited Supply Challenge #173
Happy Friday to you all !!!
I finally got my walk today after feeling terrible the whole week last week. I am trying to get into my routine, too. Today's challenge is a bit of a struggle. After I already cut my template, I realized it had to be a card with a hinge. I really did not feel like redoing the whole thing, so I just kept it where my inside sentiment just slides in the back of the card. The challenge is to use any shape in your card-but no squares, rectangles or circle. I got carried away with my embellishment and forgot that it was Friday. Here it is anyway.
The background stamped in Canvas BG using River Rock ink. I made the pocket with the Summer Fun DSP and stamped the Simply Said flowers, colored and added stickles. I did the hand stitched free hand all around.

Thanks for stopping by.

RECIPE:
Stamps: Simply Said, Canvas BG,
Fundamental Phrases
Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive,
Real Red, DSP
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive, Staz-on black.
Basic black marker, White Gel pen
Accessories: Gingham red/white ribbon, button,
and brads, stickles
Tools: Corner rounder, dimensionals,1/16punch, Decorative scallop scissors, Double circle punch

I used White Gel pen to color theflowers on my sentiment.

The flowers are from Simply Said that I colored in
So Saffron and Real Red. I used the double
circle punch for the center of the
flowers.

Getting to Know You

Tagged

The "rules" of the game: Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.
Here it goes:
Ten years ago: I really can't recall, but I know I was already stamping and having a ball.
Five things in today’s 'to do list':
1. I really need to do laundry.
2. Buy a cocktail dress for my upcoming reunion in NY.
3. Finish my swap for tomorrow.
4. Start a book by Debbie Macomber that I have for almost 3 weeks now.
5. and did you just say five, because I have 1, 234 things I need to do.
Snacks I enjoy: Diet COKE , pop corn and M& M's not necaessarily in that order or of priority.
Things I would do if I was a millionaire:
If and when that happens, I would like to:
Live in an exotic island with a maid 24/7
Buy all the stamps in the Stampin' UP catalog
Go on a shopping spree without looking at the sticker price
Travel, travel, travel...
and the list goes on....
Places I have lived: I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines until the age of 21. I have lived in Chicago for 2 years and moved to Arizona since then.
Here are the people that I am tagging:
1. Monique (Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust)

I found this card at Denise's gallery, the FS for today and it was perfect for the challenge. Her card is for a baby girl and I needed a card for a boy so I changed quite a few things. I kept the carriage , the band and the heart CB folder was a little too girly for me, so I used DSP for mine. Lastly, I made it into a gift card holder.

Altered Photo Frame

Ways to Use It #170
Good mornig to all !
Today's WT challenge on SCS is using photos .
I rarely ever used my pic on a project, but when I found the photo frame at a dollar store with an Acrylic C on it, I ended up using a recent pic from Hawaii.
The C is detachable, so I was able to alter and add the paper in the back and was able to do some stamping using the Travel Post. I added Primas and put buttons on the center of the flowers. I CB the main BG on the acrylic frame, and the buttons were mounted on top of the frame for dimension. I did the same thing with the HPH, mounted it on top of the frame.

Thanks for stopping by.

RECIPE:

Stamps: Travel Post, French Script,
Defining Alphabet, Define Your Life
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White ,
Buckaroo Blue (retired)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, White Craft,
Buckaroo Blue (retired)
Accessories: Lots and lots of Buttons,
HPH, Grosgrain ribbon, Primas

Tools: CB and folder, glue dots. Glue Stick

I stamped the Travel Post stamps first, and then stamped French Script in White Craft ink. I used glue stick around it after to adhere
the paper on the back of the acrylic letter C.

A Day Camping

How would you like to wake up....

...and see this view and be totally drawn to this vast beauty. I know the pic doesn't do justice.
Sometimes, you just got to be "there" to really
appreciate it. This is what I call the little pleasures in life that is totally guilt free that we can take advantage of and ENJOY !!!
With my hiking boots and H2O, that's exactly what I did.
The weather was beautiful and the night was gorgeous. I have never seen so many stars at night.

Thanks for looking.

The sunset was just amazing.
I just wish I could have captured it better.

We stopped at the historic
Route 66 on our way
home.

Color Challenge #169
Sketch Card Challenge #179
I am still here; I just have not posted in almost a week. It's
the little everyday ( but you must do it) things that kept me from doing what I love most and that is a little bit of stamping time.
Today is just one of those days...I started doing the sketch early this AM, but have to stop because of a stamping class that I did. I finally finished it although the colors seemed off. The Real Red color looked more like bright red orange.
I used the Circle Cutter to create the flower and slit punch for the flowers. I added the scallops for the bottom, too. I love the way the CB folder turned out. I used the White Gel pen to create the dots around the flower and scallop.

Thanks for looking.

RECIPE:
Stamps: Cause for Celebration, Make it Count
Paper: Real Red, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Ink: White Craft, Real Red, Blue Bayou, White Gel pen
